Xiaomi 12 Ultra and Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced codenames and story
The Xiaomi 12 Pro codename was zeus, the “Father of Gods and Humans”. Xiaomi 12 Ultra is codenamed as loki, its model number is L1A and Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Edition is codenamed thor, its model number is L1. Thor is the son of Odin. Loki is the god of evil. From the code names, it comes to our mind that we can see an CUP (camera under panel, in-screen camera) on this phone as well as odin, that is, Xiaomi Mix 4. It is also possible that L1 may be the Xiaomi Mix 5 instead of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Edition.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra and Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Leaked Features
Both devices will be powered by the SM8450 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Snapdragon 898) as in other Xiaomi 12 devices. As for the camera, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra series will be the same as the Xiaomi 12 Pro main camera 50MP (8192×6144) the sensor is GN5 or 200MP HP1 (low chance). In addition to the main camera, there are 3 more 48 megapixel cameras on both devices. Forth cameras are for 10X zoom. There will be 4 or 5 cameras as 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x. So, camera setup is 50MP main, 48 MP 2x zoom, 48 MP 5x zoom and 48MP 10x zoom. We don’t know second 48MP is for 2X or 0.5x. In leaked camera app, Multi-camera mode supports 5 cameras.
When we look at the zoom values, we can see 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x and 120x. This shows that there will be 120X zoom. It will also support 15X video zoom. These values may change in the next days. We can see many contradictions in the codes of both devices. Also, Thor and Loki will also support next-generation in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra series are seems to be exclusive to China and most probably introduced in Q2 2022 like Mi 11 Ultra. Its development with MIUI started on October 1, 2021, and it is a fairly new device.
