Dahua Smart PSS password recovery

The procedure is the same, regardless if you are using a Windows computer or a Mac. Press Windows and R keys at the same time (Windows + R), then paste (or type) this. path: C:/Users/Public/SmartPSS.

The picture below illustrates this step. Sometimes the path may be different depending on the computer, but usually, there’s where it’s located.

The next step, search for conf.xml and delete the two files that come up. You have to erase: conf and conf.xmlusersmtp (as shown in the picture below).

Once you do that, run the Smart PSS again and you’ll be prompted with a dialogue window where you can create a new password.
