Situation 1 - Install 4 Cameras and DVR at shop. Last night theft activity held at shop and all camera wiring cut off by thief.
In
this condition: There is a solid chance to track thief by DVR
Recordings, as only CCTV Camera wire cuts DVR is still safe, before wire
cut there were recording have been added in hard drive.
IP
Cameras:- IP Camera can work individually without and with NVR, Approx
every good Brand IP Camera has SD Card Slot for individual Recording
option.
HD Camera/Analog Camera: Analog HD Camera are fully depended on DVR for recording.
Situation 2 - Install
4 Cameras and DVR and shop. Last night theft activity held at shop and
all before robbery all Power Off and security system was on live
electric power no secondary backup plan like Online UPS or inverter was
there.
In this
condition: No Chance to get any proof from CCTV Security System. Power
off means CCTV Security system is dead without any secondary backup power
solution.
IP
Cameras:- IP Camera can get power from direct PoE enabled LAN Port or
Power DC Port. Some advance IP camera also come with inbuilt battery
backup. we can setup a secondary power source + Power supply when power
cut auto detect and auto enable secondary power. (In this case IP Camera
Power DC Port should be hidden Only PoE LAN Port and connected LAN
Cable can be visible.)
HD Camera/Analog Camera: Analog HD Camera are fully depended on DVR for recording.
HD Camera/Analog Camera: Analog HD Camera are fully depended on Power supply from DC Port.
Situation 3 -
Install 4 Cameras and DVR and shop. Last night theft activity held at
shop and all camera wiring cut off by thief and DVR also stolen by
thief.
In this
condition:- What we learnt from this situation. Never install DVR in
direct and easy place where anyone can approach and pick it up. also use
a solid internet connection or Local Area Network connectivity for a
secondary backup system of recordings.
Remote Location secondary recording backup over a wireless/wired Network connectivity or through Internet connectivity.
Wireless
Outdoor connectivity can help as a backup plan for CCTV Recording
Playback footage on remote location + use single high speed internet on
multiple location for DVR Internet connectivity and Personal use.
