ey + R, type mdsched.exe, and press Enter. Choose to restart your PC now and check for problems, which will begin the test upon reboot. After the test is complete, you can view the results by opening the Event Viewer and navigating to Windows Logs > System, then finding the Memory Diagnostics-Results event. 


HDD/SSD Command

Win + R and chkdsk and press enter.

Get a copy of Microsoft's devcon utility. Then use the following to scan for new hardware:

devcon rescan
